Master of Arts in Technical Communication

Texas Tech University - August 2011

I will graduate this summer with my master's degree from this challenging program. So far, I have a 4.0 GPA. My research interests include style, information theory, social media, rhetoric, and online communities. I am a multimodal practitioner, which means I specialize not just in text, but in video, audio, and experimental multimedia.

Naturally, the MATC emphasizes professional writing, but it also prepared me in other ways. I've learned a lot about document design, multimedia, and project management.

My undergraduate degree gave me a great foundation for writing. I worked for four years as a writing tutor and earned a 3.76 GPA in both majors.
